About Me

I grew up in a family that taught me a great respect of the past and the value of staying close to my roots. There is something about those old stories, photographs and documents that have drawn me in over the years.

Learning about my fascinating heritage has also inspired me to create fictional stories in honor of those who have gone before. Thus far, I have published two novels. Both have quickly become Amazon best sellers in their genre, Christian Historical Fiction, and are available in eBook and paperback format here. For additional information about me, or a more in depth look at the research behind these stories, please visit my author website.

In addition to the 3rd novel in the Souls of Indenture series, I am currently working on a biography of Isaac Brewer (1763-1852), which also includes transcriptions, maps and historical background.

I've also designed both of my current book covers as well as my blogs. This has been a steep learning curve, but is very rewarding.

  1. We have a reason to believe that my G-G-G-G--G Grandfather is Isaac Brewer. We have no firm proof that John R. Brewer is Isaac Brewer's son, but his widow Isabella moved to Mt. Meigs, AL after John R. Brewer's death in 1822. See below. As you know, Silver Run is only about 70 miles from Mt. Meigs.

We've sent queries out for over 30 years and have not had any hits. We are hoping that you might have some details on this.

    David J. Brewer
